Dr. Elizabeth Huggins was born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina. She graduated from Southside Christian School in 2007. She then received her Bachelor of Science from Clemson University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Major in Health science and a Minor in Spanish. After Clemson, she attended the Medical University of South Carolina where she received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree.
Dr. Huggins is passionate about teaching her patients good oral health habits early in life and helping them feel comfortable at the dentist. Her love for dentistry began in college on a mission trip to
Nicaragua where she was able to assist the dentist in patient care. She loved getting to help people in a tangible way! Dr. Huggins had the opportunity in dental school to provide dental care to kids and adults in Ecuador, the Dominican Republic, and the local Mt. Pleasant free dental clinic.
Dr. Elizabeth Huggins met her husband Dr. Zack Huggins while in dental school. Her husband joined the United States Air Force and served active duty for 4 years. They had the opportunity to live in Florida and in Colorado before returning home to South Carolina. Dr. Huggins has worked in private practice during that time and gained experience in pediatric dentistry at each practice. Her love for pediatrics has grown over the years, especially the past 5 years since becoming a mom.
Dr. Huggins has two little girls, Corbett and Eden. When she’s not doing dentistry, Dr. Huggins loves hanging out with her family, going on hikes, cycling and trying Greenville’s latest restaurants.
